Your First Dental Visit

So let's take a quick look at what you can expect during your time with us. Let's talk about a Live First Visit......

  1. If possible, please try to fill out any forms before you arrive at the office. This will save you time and make the process a bit quicker. You can find the necessary forms HERE.

  2. When you arrive you'll meet Laura. She will take any forms you may have, enter you into our system if it has not been done already, and make you welcome to our practice. If you have any questions or if there is anything else we need, Laura will make sure it happens.

  3. You will then be escorted to one of our treatment rooms where you will either meet Kasey, my dental assistant or Ivana, my hygienist. I will make sure to come in before anything else occurs so we can meet one another, talk about your needs and answer any questions I can at that time. Of course, I will need certain records before anything definitive can be discussed.

  4. We will then begin taking the necessary x-rays, all of which are digital. This may include not only individual tooth images but possibly a panoramic x-ray of your entire jaw.

  5. As I mentioned in the video, we utilize the latest technologies dentistry has to offer. That included the digital, computerized x-rays just taken as well as 3D Computerized Video Imaging using a revolutionary dental scanner. This is radiation-free and gives us a three-dimensional image of your dentition for us to use in diagnosis.

  6. Finally, I will come back in a complete a thorough clinical exam including an oral cancer screening, using the data we just captured.

  7. Now it's time for us to talk. If your treatment is kind of simple, I will most likely provide you with your options, discuss costs and then answer any and all of your questions. If your treatment is a bit complex, I will suggest a follow-up consultation so that we can sit together and discuss your treatment in detail. This may involve referrals to other dental specialists or the need for further diagnostic data or consultation.

Now, let's talk about Your Virtual Consultation.

  1. If you are unable to come to the office for your initial visit, why not give our Virtual Consultation a try? It's really easy to use and it's totally free.

  2. In order to schedule your virtual consultation, you need to use the widget located at the bottom right of this page. Answer all of the questions and request an appointment. We will either give you a call to confirm or get back to via email or both.

  3. During the above process, you will be able to provide us with a series of oral photographs so we can see your dental condition. This does not replace an office visit but will enable us to get some insight into your problem and hopefully allow us to supply some answers to your questions.

  4. All you need is a computer with a camera and a microphone.

  5. Once again, it's easy to use and it's totally complimentary.
